9/18/09 This Earth-Toon was commissioned by my brother. He lives in North Carolina and he made me aware of the tourist attractions in his area that display bears in pits which lack the amenities and environment found in proper zoos. They are sensory deprived and this borders on animal cruelty. You can Google Bob Barker/Bear Pits for more on his plight to improve this situation. Every species deserves to be treated with respect.
9/17/09 I've picked a winner for the caption contest from last month. Mike Halprin came up with this great statement: Go Green or the Roaches will Convene. It sings! This planet supports many species and humans are the most vulnerable as well as responsible for it's care and survival. What kind of legacy do want to leave?

8/26/09 Here is the latest for the Scuba Diving page. I enjoy educating people on the importance of Sharks. They are vital to the oceans, eliminating diseased or injured fish which keeps the waters healthy. This is one of the most important jobs of sharks. With out sharks the oceans would be in worse shape than they are now. Fact: More people are injured by pulling television sets over on themselves than being injured by sharks! The scaryist thing in the ocean is man.
8/22/09 I've mentioned before that things just pop up in my brain and this is an example of my latest. All dog owners can relate to the crazy behavior their pet is capable of. This is something that actually happened when my wife was pet sitting for her sister's beagle, Peedee, some years back. I exaggerated the event slightly (the dog never got in the toilet). I am compiling different stories from other dog breed owners for some new cartoons. If you have a funny story, share it with me and I will consider it for a cartoon subject. 8/20/09 I created this cartoon this week and the concept was suggested by my wife, Edrianna. She is a Healing Science Practitioner, which is a holistic approach to healing by working with the human energy field. It's pretty fascinating stuff. 8/18/09 This illustration is dedicated to Sheba, my friends, Mike and Barb's dog. They lost her last year. It was inspired by the poem, Rainbow Bridge from the pet loss grief support site: www.petloss.com. It is a very moving poem.
8/18/09 Here are some of the latest suggestions for the Roach Earth-Toon: Go green or the Roaches will convene!, Who cares about Nuclear Proliferation?, I think it had some thing to do with Global Warming,...and then we sprayed for Humans, When was the last time the the Bugs bought spray to get rid of Humans?, Is this the legacy you want to leave?. These are great, keep them coming!
